TV468 – 1885 Eton Bodice

$12.00$17.00

This bodice is designed after an 1885 dress by Madame Tridou, displayed at the Victoria and Albert Museum. Several similar bodices/jackets were depicted in The Delineator Magazine through 1885 and 1886. The distinguishing feature of this bodice is the Eton jacket front over the main bodice front. The Eton jacket can have an optional lapel, or left plain. The jacket sews into the bodice at shoulder and sides seams. The closure is in the center front. The front outline is rounded below the waist, and the sides curve upward over the hip. The back and side-back have short “tails” that lay in box pleats to fit over any size bustle. An appliqué of the front fabric is carried over the side edge of the tail. The pleats can be cut in either the main or contrasting fabric. The sleeve is in 2 pieces, and has a rounded cuff at the wrist.

The E-Pattern contains the following formats:
Letter/A4 – Prints on 39 sheets, needs assembly.
A0 – Prints on 2 sheets.
Shop Copy – 36×80″ page 1.
