TV341 – Cutaway Overskirt
$12.00 – $17.00
This is an easy-to-make overskirt that was popular between 1858-1861 and worn over a hoop skirt. While not hugely popular after 1860, this overskirt is occasional seen throughout the 1860s, and the beginning years of the Early Bustle era. This overskirt is extremely versatile.
For a hoop-era dress, wear it over our Round Cage Crinoline TV141, Walking Cage TV142, or even the Elliptical Cage TV103. For a transitional dress, wear it over TV109 Hooped Bustle. Or for an Early Bustle Dress, it can fit nicely over TV101 Bustle Petticoat, TV108 Grand Bustle, or TV163 Imperial Tournure. The overskirt can also be used for saloon wear, or Steam Punk.
The closure is in the center front, and is cut away into rounded front, going around the skirt and ending slightly longer at the back. Waist edge is gathered full to fit the waistband. We have included an optional ruffle for the hem, with a 3/4″ standing ruche and a 3″ falling ruffle.
The E-Pattern contains the following formats:
Letter/A4 – Prints on 24 sheets, needs assembly.
A0 – Prints on 2 sheets.
Shop Copy – 36×51″ single page.
