$13.00$19.50

This style of chemise can be found as early as 1865, and lasts through the Victorian Period. The neckline is finished with a moderately low, round yoke, with a pointed front/round back. It has a button at each shoulder, which will allow the shoulder straps to be dropped for wear under low, or off-shoulder bodices.

The drawers have a fitted waistband with a center front button closure. The crotch seam is left open and is finished with bias tape facings. The legs are finished with a plain hem, at mid-calf length, as is common for 1860s drawers.

Recommended fabrics: Muslin, broadcloth, flannel, linen, silk, or other natural fiber materials.

The E-Pattern contains the following formats:
Letter/A4 – Prints on 55 sheets, in 2 files, needs assembly.
A0 – Prints on 3 sheets, needs assembly.

I like the patterns from her but this one was just disappointing. I’m not sure what it’s supposed to look like on a person as there’s no photos but mine does not seem to fit. I did my size correctly and everything is correct but the yoke isn’t big enough to fit properly. I’m not sure what’s happening and I really don’t have time to make another but I think I may have to.

I made both the chemise and drawers from this pattern. I found the chemise pattern to be pretty straightforward. I didn’t have a problem with the yoke because the neckline of the chemise body gets gathered to fit within the yoke. I’d definitely make the chemise again if I needed another.

The drawers gave me a little trouble because I didn’t realize the legs don’t get sewn together. This is historically accurate, I just didn’t know it. The pattern instructions do say there is no crotch seam, but I had to watch a video to understand the legs are sewn to the waistband but not to each other. Once I realized that, it was easy to finish the drawers.

An actual picture of both pieces would be helpful though.
