Unfortunately, due to delivery problems with our latest restocking order, we are discontinuing all wire and boning products as stocks run out.

Synthetic Whalebone from Germany is the closest thing we have found to real whalebone. it is excellent for use in corsets and bodices. It is not like rigiline of feather weight boning. Instead, it is made of a dense plastic with spring qualities. It may shape slightly with wear, but it holds up very well. Will stand up to tight lacing, and works well next to grommets.

This boning comes in rolls and can be cut to length easily, using scissors. This is perfect for projects that require odd boning lengths, or when you are in a hurry and don’t want to wait to order steel cut to length.

6×1.5 – (6mm wide x 1.5mm thick) – This boning is heavy duty, as is suitable for corsets the need firmer support. Works wonderfully next to grommets. Very close in size and spring properties to 1/4″ flat white steel boning. Bends forward/back only. Available in 10 yard, 25 yard, and 50 yard rolls.

For use in corset/bodices only. NOT for use for hoops or bustles.
